An awareness program on Menstrual Hygiene Day was organized today at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Solan, courtesy of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Solan. This information was given by health teacher Padmamani Negi.
He said that the objective of the awareness programme is to make the girl students aware about menstrual hygiene.
In the program, the students were given detailed information about personal hygiene during menstruation. The students were made aware about taking care of the nutrition in the diet during menstruation, drinking adequate amount of water and consulting a doctor in case of any irregularity.
On this occasion, a debate competition was organized on the topic of menstrual hygiene. The 10 winning students were honored with prizes.
BCC Coordinator Radha Chauhan, teachers and students of the school participated in the program.
