School of Sciences students gain insights into modern manufacturing and quality systems
Parwanoo: The School of Sciences, in coordination with the Training and Placement Office (TPO) department, organized an industrial visit for B.Sc. Chemistry first and second-year students to Gallen AG Private Limited, Sector-3, Parwanoo, on December 2, 2025.
The visit began with an informative presentation by Ms. Deepika Vij, HR Head of the company, who introduced students to the organization’s product portfolio, growth journey, and major achievements in the industry.
Following the presentation, the students were divided into groups and guided through different sections of the manufacturing facility by Mr. Sahil Bhatt and Mr. Hari from the HR department. During the tour, students visited key areas including the warehouse, quarantine room, research and development department, quality control unit, packaging area, and finished goods section.
Gallen AG specializes in the manufacturing of cosmetic tubes and supplies its products to several industries. The students had the opportunity to observe modern manufacturing practices and understand industry workflows while interacting with company professionals.
The visit also provided exposure to advanced testing equipment used in quality analysis, including the Universal Tensile Strength Testing Machine (UTM). This helped students understand the role of such instruments in ensuring product quality and performance.
The industrial visit offered valuable insights into real-world industrial operations and practical applications of chemistry. It helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practices, leaving students motivated and enriched with a deeper understanding of professional environments.
