Police has arrested two more students in the ragging case of the Bahara University. This is the fifth arrest made by the police in this case. Police had arrested three students on Tuesday.
On the further investigations in the case, two other accused students were also taken into custody on Wednesday. It should be noted that a case of ragging of juniors by senior students had come to light in the university.
On the complaint of the victim student, police had registered a case in Kandaghat police station and started investigation. On Tuesday, police had arrested three accused students Karan Dogra resident of Udhampur (Jammu-Kashmir), Chirag Rana resident of Balh (Mandi) and Divyansh resident of Bhota (Hamirpur). On Wednesday, two other accused students Kartik resident of village Sunarli district Bilaspur and Saksham resident of village Plana Theog district Shimla were also arrested in the case.
SP Solan Gaurav Singh said that two other accused students Kartik resident of village Sunarli Tehsil Ghumarvi District Bilaspur and Saksham resident of village Plana Tehsil Theog District Shimla have been arrested in the case. So far five arrests have been made in the case. The previous criminal records of these accused students are also being investigated and the case is being investigated thoroughly.
The case of ragging in the university has shamed the Devbhoomi. This has not only brought disrepute to the university management, while the viral video of the fight has also exposed the arrangements and the safety of the children. A video of the fight went viral on social media on Tuesday. In this video, senior students can be clearly seen sitting in the hostel room and smoking. Not only this, these youths are also trying to force the victim to drink alcohol by beating him.
