In a significant step towards redefining higher education through technology, Bahra University, Shimla Hills, is hosting a prestigious 7-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI in Quality Teaching & Research” under the aegis of the Madan Mohan Malviya Mission (UGC).
Running from March 19 to March 25, the FDP has attracted over 200 academicians, researchers, and educators from across India, along with participation and insights from globally renowned institutions, making it a vibrant confluence of ideas, innovation, and academic excellence.
The programme is being conducted under the visionary guidance of Prof. Rajesh Kumar Dubey, Director, UGC-MM TTC (HRDC), and features an exceptional lineup of distinguished scholars, keynote speakers, and domain experts.
Global Perspective on AI & Education
A key highlight of the FDP is the keynote address by Dr. Narendra K. Rustagi, Director, Center for Global Business Studies, Howard University (USA). His session on “AI and Quality of Education: Challenges and Opportunities” offered a global outlook on how artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching methodologies, research frameworks, and academic ecosystems worldwide.
Adding to the intellectual depth, Prof. Kaumudi Saxena, Dean Academics at Lloyd Institute of Engineering & Technology, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on NEP 2020 & ICT, stressing the urgent need for digital transformation, innovation, and adaptability in India’s education system.

The FDP boasts an impressive roster of eminent academicians from premier institutions. Prof. (Dr.) K. K.
