The Vice Chancellor of Bahra University, Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Dave, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, the Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, at Lok Bhavan.
The meeting centered on enhancing the quality of higher education, strengthening research frameworks, and addressing pressing social concerns such as drug abuse among youth. Both dignitaries discussed the vital role educational institutions play in shaping responsible, future-ready citizens.
The Hon’ble Governor underscored the importance of adopting robust research methodologies to develop evidence-based solutions for societal challenges. He also encouraged the university to actively participate in public welfare initiatives, particularly in spreading nutrition awareness and supporting tuberculosis (TB) eradication efforts.
Prof. (Dr.) Dave stated that the Governor’s guidance strongly resonates with the vision of the university’s Chancellor, Gurvinder Singh Bahra. He reaffirmed Bahra University’s commitment to research-driven education and its continued contribution to nation-building through academic excellence and community engagement.
