To appreciate the women’s achievements and to raise awareness about ‘Break The Bias’,BBMB celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8th March at BBMB Rest House, Chandigarh.
Deepti Srivastava graced the function by lighting the lamp. Around 120 women officers & employees were present.
Nikkita (RJ Nikki) from 94.3 My FM amused the women’s gathering with frivolous games,riddles and quiz.
To mark this day, the Chief Guest and Sanjay Srivastava Chairman, BBMB along with H.S. Chugh, Member (Power) and Rahul Kansal, Joint Secretary/Public Relation, BBMB-cum-Central Sports Committee, Chandigarh felicitated the three players of Table Tennis Women Team from Chandigarh for winning three Gold medals in the ongoing Sports Tournament amongst all organizations under Ministry of Power.
Deepti Srivastava addressed the women about gender equality by highlighting the social & economic independence and underlining the fact that women has broken social barriers through unparalleled initiatives.
Sanjay Srivastava Chairman, BBMB also spread an inspirational message and appreciated the efforts & achievements of women officers & employees of BBMB.
On this occasion, J. S. Kahlon/FA&CAO, Rakesh Sharma/Special Secretary,. B.S Sabharwal Chief Engineer/SO, Vipin Gupta/Chief Engineer/TS, .H.S.Manocha Director/Security, Sourabh/Dy.CVO were also present.
