School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES), Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST) organized an industrial visit on 30 May 2024 for the students of D. Pharmacy 4th Semester, at Cipla Pharmaceutical Ltd, Village Malpur upper, PO Bhud, Nalagarh Road Bhud-173205 (H.P). Industrial tours provide students with tangible experiences that demonstrate the practical applications of their academic learning. A visit to a top Indian Multinational Pharmaceutical Company, Cipla Pharmaceutical Ltd., can furnish them with invaluable exposure to industrial operations pertinent to their area of study.
Students shared their theoretical and practical knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with HR representative Atual Awasthi. They also got to interact with They also had interactions with Narender Panay, the HoD of the Capsule filling department, who shared his wealth of knowledge and expertise regarding the company.
Students also interacted with Diljit Singh from the warehouse team, who provided a demonstration of the workings of the supply chain. Furthermore, the production personnel showcased the granulation process, as well as the processes of coating and capsule filling. During this tour, students were exposed to the operational processes of a plant, enhancing their academic comprehension. These trips not only enhance students’ educational pursuits but also provide valuable insights into potential career avenues. BUEST’s initiative to arrange these company visits is praiseworthy, significantly enriching students’ educational journeys and preparing them for their future careers.
