The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Chandramani (popularly known as Mani) as the IT district convener for Sundernagar district in Himachal Pradesh.
According to a press statement issued by BJP district president Hira Lal on Tuesday, the appointment was made after consultations with state BJP president Dr Rajeev Bindal, leader of opposition and former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, state organisation general secretary Siddharthan and state IT convener Anil Dhadwal.
Chandramani, who belongs to the Mahadev–Nachan assembly segment, will take charge with immediate effect.
Congratulating the newly appointed office bearer, Hira Lal expressed confidence that Chandramani would work with dedication and strengthen the organisation in Sundernagar district.
“The new appointee will help take the party to greater heights in the district through his hard work and commitment,” the statement said.
