State Congress Working President Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi has criticized the BJP and said that it is making unsuccessful attempts to mislead people by telling lies. He said that the BJP is in shock due to the crushing defeat in the assembly by-elections and is unable to recover from it.
Sanjay Awasthi has said that BJP is making baseless allegations against the Congress government. He said that the way BJP tried to destabilize the Congress government with full majority in the state by using money power, six Congress and three independent MLAs were pushed into by-elections, out of which six MLAs had to face defeat. He said that BJP should apologize to the people of the state for the insult of public opinion by imposing assembly by-elections in the state without any reason.
Sanjay Awasthi has said that the people of the state have come to know the policy and intentions of the BJP and now no one will be misled by it. After the assembly by-elections in the state, the number of Congress MLAs has again become 40 and the government has become even stronger under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. He has said that the government is completely dedicated to the development of the state and public welfare.
