Shimla (Himachal Pradesh)
A massive fire reduced the home of former Panchayat Pradhan Susheel Chauhan to ashes in Kyari village of Kotkhai on Monday. The blaze reportedly broke out in the early hours, spreading rapidly through the house.
Family members managed to escape safely, while locals rushed to help control the flames before firefighters arrived. Despite efforts, the house was completely gutted.
Police and revenue officials have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Losses are being assessed, and assistance to the affected family is expected.
