Solan: First-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students along with faculty members from the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Medical Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, visited the Institute of Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy (IAMD) in Solan, Himachal Pradesh for an educational exposure.
The visit was organized to provide students with practical insights into the clinical management of muscular dystrophy (MD) and to understand the important role physiotherapy plays in supporting patients affected by the condition.
During the visit, students were introduced to various aspects of muscular dystrophy, including its causes, symptoms, and different types of the disorder. They also learned about the challenges faced by patients and the therapeutic approaches used to improve their quality of life.
