Calcium chloride brine solution plant started in British Summer Capital
Now traffic on roads will not disrupt the snowy areas of Himachal Pradesh. All credit goes to the PWD who has first time installed calcium chloride brine solution plant. This machine has been installed outside the RTO office in Shimla.
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Monday inaugurated the city’s first calcium chloride brine machine. The plant can produce 6,000 liters of calcium chloride a day. Apart from this, the department also told the minister about the entire process by spraying calcium chloride brine solution. Ice formation on the road can be prevented by sprinkling calcium chloride brine solution on one kilometer of road at a cost of Rs 500 from the plant.
Engineer-in-Chief of Public Works Department, Ajay Gupta said that the chemical for melting snow will be prepared in the machine. This chemical will be transported to the roads of snowy areas through pickup. As the snowfall season approaches, its first spraying will be done on the roads before that. This will prevent snow from sticking to the road. On roads where there is frozen snow, this solution will melt the snow within five minutes.
