BPT students gain practical training at rehabilitation centre in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Second- and fourth-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students from the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Medical Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, participated in a one-day hands-on workshop on “Clinical Kinesiology Taping” on February 8, 2026, at Physiotherapy Solutions Rehabilitation Centre, Chandigarh.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Upendra Goswami, Superintendent Physiotherapist at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). The session aimed to provide students with practical exposure to advanced physiotherapy techniques used in clinical rehabilitation and sports injury management.
During the workshop, students were introduced to the fundamentals of clinical kinesiology taping and learned various application techniques used for pain management and postural correction. The training also covered taping methods for sports injuries and functional rehabilitation approaches commonly used in physiotherapy practice.
Under expert guidance, the participants gained valuable clinical insights and hands-on experience, helping them strengthen their understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
The workshop was credited with eight working hours, adding academic and clinical value to the students’ professional training and enhancing their practical competence in physiotherapy care.
