A private bus lost control and plunged down a 150-foot-deep valley in the Tuna region, which is part of the Gohar subdivision in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The bus was traveling from Jahal to Badhu on Thursday night when the tragedy occurred. There were nine passengers on the bus who suffered injuries. Three males and six women are among the injured.
The bus reportedly lost control and plunged into the ditch when it got close to Chanani Nala, which is close to Tuna. The local people hurried to the scene as soon as word of the catastrophe spread, immediately beginning relief and rescue efforts. The injured were quickly removed from the ditch and brought to the road by the locals, and with the assistance of 108 ambulances, they were transported to Gohar Hospital and Nerchowk Medical College. Preliminary reports indicate that one of the injured is still in extremely severe condition.
Under the direction of in-charge Dev Raj, the Gohar Police Station personnel arrived to the scene of the accident after learning of it and helped with the relief efforts. Teams from the administration and health departments were also on the scene. The station in-charge confirmed the accident and stated that the police had currently filed a report and begun looking into what caused it.
