Focusing on the theme, “Wildlife and We”, this year wildlife Wing of the Himachal Pradesh is organizing a 72nd Wildlife week from October 2 to October 9,2023.
The aim is to show that humans and animals can coexist with positive benefits to both. During this week,a series of event will take place including mini marathon, workshops, painting competitions, photography etc.
On this ocassion,Anil Thakur, the Additional Chief Conservator of the Wildlife Wing, Forest Department, highlighted a week long events that is going to organized throughout the state. These include a mini marathon, workshops, painting competitions, and more, all designed to foster a deeper understanding of the region’s rich biodiversity and the need for its protection.
Thakur also emphasized on the open photography competition where this time “camera trap photography “will be the center of attraction. He told that prize will also given to different category based on their skills. The painting and article competition will be organized and will be on the theme “Development and Wildlife Path “.
The Wildlife Week serves a platform to every citizens to get engage in those activities that foster a sense of responsibility towards the state’s precious wildlife and natural ecosystems.
