Shimla
A one-day workshop on stress management was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 14 June 2025 at St. Thomas School, Shimla. The main objective of this workshop was to apprise the teachers what stress is and how we can manage it.
As the keynote speaker and resource person of this workshop, Dr. Shivani Sharma, Principal, Cecil Convent Senior Secondary School, Ambala Cantt and Dr. Rakesh Sachdeva, currently a resource person of CBSE, conducted this one-day complete workshop.
In the beginning of the program, The vice Principal of the school, Mrs. Sharon Nanda welcomed the resource persons and the participants. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp. The Principal Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty felicitated the resource persons.
Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty, Principal of the school and all the participants present paid tribute by observing two minutes of silence in solemn remembrance of the lives lost in the Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad. A concise overview of the entire programme was presented to the participants.
Apart from St. Thomas School, teachers from schools in the surrounding area also participated in this workshop. These included Trinity International School Fagu, Rashtriya Military School Chail, Raja Dilip Singh Memorial School Halog, Chapslee School Shimla and Lakshya Convent School Arki. 55 teachers from various schools across the region participated in the workshop.
At the end, St. Thomas School’s STNC Mrs. Anshul Sharma expressed her gratitude to the keynote speaker and resource person, the keynote speaker Dr. Shivani Sharma, Principal, Cecil Convent Senior Secondary School, Ambala Cantt and Dr. Rakesh Sachdeva, currently the resource person of CBSE and the teachers who had come from other schools.
Apart from this, Principal Mrs. Vidhupriya Chakravarty thanked everyone for successfully organizing the entire workshop and for their cooperation. She said that CBSE will organize CBP, subject core subjects and in-house training in similar way in future also.
