Shimla
A two-day workshop on Accountancy Secondary Level was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla on 4th and 5h August 2025. The main objective of this workshop was to explain the simple and easy way of teaching accountancy to students. Apart from this accounts syllabus, sample papers and marking scheme were also discussed by the resource persons with teachers in this workshop. The objective of this workshop was also to provide quality education to the children.
Chartered Accountant Sunil Kumar and Sumit Singla, former Assistant Professor of SD College, Chandigarh participated as keynote speakers and resource persons in this workshop and conducted this two-day workshop.
In the beginning of the program, The Vice-Principal of the school, Mrs. Sharon Nanda welcomed the resource persons and the participants. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp. A brief description of the program was presented to the present participants and the resource persons were felicitated by the Vice-Principal of the school.
Apart from teachers of St. Thomas’ School, teachers from schools in the surrounding area and teachers from Haryana also participated in this workshop. 38 teachers from various schools across the region participated in the workshop.
In the end, Mrs. Anshul Sharma, STNC of St. Thomas School, as the keynote speaker and resource person, expressed her gratitude to the keynote speaker Chartered Accountant Sunil Kumar and Sumit Singla, former Assistant Professor of SD College, Chandigarh and teachers from other schools.
Apart from this, the Vice-Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda thanked everyone for their cooperation in successfully organizing the entire workshop. She also said that CBSE will organize CBP, subject core subjects and in-house training in the same way in future as well.
