In the multipurpose building of the district headquarters, on Monday, the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) held a meeting with the district administration and officials of various departments and reviewed the damage caused during the disaster in the district. In the Central Team, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs G.Wasim Ashraf, Director, Central Jal Nigam (Ministry of Water Power), Anil Kumar Kushwaha, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Joint Secretary (Disaster Management) Nishant Thakur, HRTC Executive Director Murari Lal and TCB Specialist Dr. Krishna Chand were included on behalf of the state government.
In the meeting, detailed information related to Public Works Department, Water Power, Electricity, Agriculture, Baghwani, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education, Health, National High Road and other departments were obtained. In the meeting, the Central Committee was presented information about the damage caused by the department in the district. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kullu Torul Ravish provided information about the damage done to roads, bridges, power lines, transformers, drinking water schemes, educational institutions, agricultural and gardening land and various government buildings in the district.
The central team visited various disaster affected areas during the monsoon after the meeting.During this time, the team took the situation and loss in the Vyasu Nallas, Aleu, Green Tax Barrier at Solang village, Bahang, Old Manali, Vyamit sub-vegetable market Chaurihal, Aloo Ground, Patalikuhal, Chhrudu, Lanka Baker, Inner Akhada Bazaar and Summa. The team also interacted with the affected villagers and inquired about their problems and disadvantages.
The Kullu district administration has affected hundreds of families from the disasters during the monsoon to the central party, the supply of roads, electricity-water, school, health center and agriculture-gardeners have suffered heavy damage. Taking cognizance of the situation, the team assured that the statistics of real damage would be placed before the Central Government so that relief and rehabilitation works can gain momentum.
