Volvo bus will depart from Chamba at 7:30 am and from Shimla at 6:00 am,
A new Volvo bus service was started from the district headquarters Chamba to Shimla which was inaugurated by local MLA Neeraj Nair and HRTC Vice President Ajay Verma.
Giving information about the new Volvo bus service started from August 2, the local MLA said that the district headquarters Chamba is the farthest district headquarters from the state capital Shimla and the residents of the district had been demanding a convenient Volvo bus service from Chamba to Shimla for a long time, which the state government has approved on priority basis. He thanked the Chief Minister of the state Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri for giving the gift of Volvo bus service to Chamba district. Neeraj Nayyar said that this is the first BS-6 ultra luxury bus service to be started from Chamba, with the start of which not only the residents of the district but also the tourists coming to the district will get full benefit. He said that according to the convenience of Volvo bus passengers wishing to travel to Delhi in Vande Bharat train running from Una district, changes will be made in the time table of Volvo bus service running on Chamba Shimla route in future as per the need. He said that two Volvo buses will run from Shimla and Chamba every morning and the cost of each bus is Rs. 1 crore 51 lakh.
Giving information regarding the time table of Volvo bus, DDM of Himachal Road Transport Corporation Chamba, Shugal Kumar said that this bus service, after leaving from Chamba at 7:30 am, will leave from Pathankot at 10:50 am, Jassur at 11:25 am, Talwara at 12:30 pm, Una at 1:40 pm, Chandigarh at 4:00 pm, Solan at 6:35 pm and will reach Shimla at 8:00 pm, while the Volvo bus service running from Shimla to Chamba at 6:00 am will leave from Solan at 7:40 am, Chandigarh at 10:20 am, Una at 12:30 pm, Talwara at 1:35 pm, Jassur at 2:40 pm, Pathankot at 3:20 pm and will reach Chamba at 6:30 pm. He said that this Volvo bus will go via Pathankot, Jassur, Talwara, Una, Chandigarh and Solan.
On this occasion, apart from Chamba Assembly Constituency MLA Neeraj Nair and Himachal Road Transport Corporation Vice President Ajay Verma, Himachal Road Transport Corporation Director Surjeet Bharmauri, DM Pankaj Chaddha, DDM Shugal Kumar and many other dignitaries were also present.
