Controversy has arisen over the samosas brought for Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The matter reached CID investigation.
CID has completed the investigation in the matter of serving samosas brought to a CID program to the staff instead of the guests. A CID official commented that this happened due to lack of coordination. This is considered a big mistake, due to which they could not be delivered to the chief guests. The matter is of 21st October.
A DSP rank officer has prepared its investigation report and sent it to the Inspector General of Police of the State Intelligence Department. In fact, on October 21, the Chief Minister had gone to Sukhu as the chief guest at a function at the CID headquarters. Apart from him, many VIP guests and distinguished officials were present. Three boxes of samosas and cakes were brought from Hotel Radisson Blu located in Lakkar Bazaar for the chief guests.
According to the statement recorded by a Deputy SP rank officer, the food items were served to the security staff of the guests. The report said that an IG rank officer had asked a police sub-inspector to bring some food items from the hotel. The SI further instructed an Assistant SI and a Head Constable to bring refreshments. The ASI and the head constable brought three boxes from the hotel and informed the SI.
Police officials said that when they asked the tourism department staff on duty whether the breakfast kept in the three boxes was to be served to the chief guests, they told them that it was not included in the menu. The lady inspector who handed over the food items did not ask any senior officer and sent the refreshments to the Mechanical Transport Section, which handles refreshments.
BJP’s taunt, government is not worried about development but samosas. BJP MLA and media department in-charge Randhir Sharma took a taunt on this matter. It is said that the people of Himachal are worried and the government is worried about samosas. The incident related to samosas brought for Chief Minister Sukhu has given rise to controversy.
