CID has refused to investigate the case related to the allegations of harassment against 10 police officers, including former Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu. CID has written a letter to the Police Headquarters in this regard. According to CID, an independent agency ought to conduct the investigation to ensure impartiality and openness.
In a written letter, it has already been clarified to Himachal Pradesh Police Headquarters that one of the accused in this case is serving in CID. Apart from this, CID has given many reasons for not investigating in this.
Meena Negi, resident of Ramni, Kinnaur, wife of Dharmsukh Negi, a former employee of the police department, has alleged that the senior police officers misused their position and conducted a fake investigation against my husband out of vengeance. After the departmental investigation, my husband was fired from the job on 9 July 2020 without hearing his side, despite having eight years of service left. The wife of the former employee had sent a complaint about this to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home and IG.
