Bilaspur, December 8
A class 10 student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Kothi Pura in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh committed suicide by hanging herself in the school bathroom on Sunday morning. This heartbreaking incident created a stir in the entire school and surrounding area.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the body of the student in their custody and sent it to AIIMS Bilaspur (AIIMS) for a postmortem. The deceased student is said to be a resident of Hamirpur district. At present, the reasons for suicide are not known. The police have started a thorough investigation into the matter and are talking to the students studying with the student, family members, and the school administration.
There is an atmosphere of mourning in the school due to this incident. This incident is extremely hurtful to the student’s family and classmates. Also, discussion has started once again regarding the increasing cases of suicide in society. Police say that all possible angles are being investigated to find out the truth behind the incident.
