On Saturday morning, a cloudburst in the Bilaspur district’s Namhol village caused significant damage. Numerous cars were buried in the cloudburst’s debris. Additionally, the crops grown by Kashmir Singh, a farmer from Gutrahan village, were totally devastated. It’s a relief, nevertheless, that no one was killed in this natural calamity.
The last two days of nonstop rain have caused Sir Khad’s water level in Ghumarwin to rise sharply, reaching its highest point of the rainy season. The lower areas are at risk of flooding as a result of the rising water levels in rivers and streams.
Landslides across the state have forced the closure of hundreds of roads, bringing transportation to a complete halt. In addition, water supply systems and electric transformers have also been severely impacted, which has led to issues with both water and electricity in many places. People are having a lot of trouble.
The Meteorological Center, Shimla has predicted bad weather in the entire state till September 19. People have been advised to remain alert and not travel unnecessarily. The state government and disaster management teams are engaged in relief and rescue work in the affected areas, so that the situation can be normalized as soon as possible.
