On Saturday night around 9:15 PM, near Katwadhi village of Nandi Panchayat of sub-division Gohar, there was chaos in the area due to flash flood caused by torrential rain in Naseni Nallah. The sudden strong current damaged the only cut stone industry of Katwadhi area, while some nearby shops also suffered partial damage. Thankfully, there was no loss of life in this natural disaster. Panchayat Pradhan Fata Ram has confirmed the incident.
According to local residents, the water level of the drain suddenly increased, and the water also brought debris with it. The flood current was so strong that a car parked on the road got caught in it and was swept away. The administration team reached the spot and took stock of the situation and relief work has been started. People have been advised to go to safe places and asked to take precautions.
