While speaking in a programme organized by the Sant Nirankari Mission here today, Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu appreciated the works being done by the Sant Nirankari Mission for the sake of humanity and said that the organization was leading in the field of social service. He also lauded the efforts of the Nirankari mission to have contributed immensely to help out the people during the COVID pandemic.
Remembering spiritual gurus of Nirankaris, the Chief Minister said that their preaching of service to humanity, Self-realization, fraternity and love for mankind was even being followed today with the belief that to believe realization of self is also possible through the realization of God.
He also sought co-operation of the members of the sect for creating awareness about preservation of the environment for realizing the mission of the State Government for Greener and Cleaner Himachal. Special measures were being taken to harness solar energy, wind energy and green hydrogen in the State as the Government was promoting use of e-vehicles in the State. He said that the government has made a provision to provide subsidy of Rs. 25,000 to 20 thousand meritorious girl students of the State for the purchase of e-scooty. A budget provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for the construction of green corridors in the State, he added.
MLA, Harish Janartha, Shimla Municipal Corporation Mayor Surender Chauhan, OSD to Chief Minister Gopal Sharma, Joginder Sukhija, HS Chawla and Dr. Vinod Gandharva from Sant Nirankar Mission and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
