In the shocking development, former director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), HP Police DGP and Governor of Nagaland-Manipur on Wednesday found dead in his Shimla residence. A tribute meeting organised here on Thursday after the sudden demise of former governor, CBI director, DGP HP police and pro-chancellor, chancellor of local APG Shimla University Dr. Ashwani Kumar.
All teachers, staff members, executives, officials including registrar and vice-chancellor of APG Shimla University were present in the condolence meeting held in varsity campus to tearful tribute to the departed soul. Vice-chancellor of APG Shimla University prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Choudhary present in the condolence meeting said that there has been a sudden irreparable human loss in the province, society, nation, administration and education.
“Dr. Ashwani Kumar was a great soul, a pride of Himachal, a stalwart administrator, an educationist and motivator. Kumar’s contribution for management of quality education among students in APG Shimla varsity will not be forgotten and Dr. Kumar’s motivational teachings will be all time sermon to all of us to contribute education role for empowerment the society and nation”, Vice-chancellor prof. Ramesh Kumar Choudhary said during condolence meeting. Including Vice-chancellor professor Ramesh Kumar Choudhary, registrar Dr. R.K. Kaisth and teachers of APG varsity prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul after two minutes of silence.
