Shimla, BJP State Spokesperson Ajay Rana said that the real face of Congress is not only anti-development and anti-constitution, but it also has a narrow and malicious thinking towards women. The statement of Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari linking women with alcohol is proof of his mentality. Congress party should publicly apologize to the women of the country for its vile and reprehensible thinking towards women.
Ajay Rana reminded that Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Shanti Dhariwal and many others have also made indecent comments on women in the past. In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party has given top priority to their respect and empowerment by providing 50 percent reservation to women in Madhya Pradesh, schemes like ‘Laadli Laxmi’ and implementing the Women’s Reservation Bill at the Centre. He demanded that the Congress should publicly apologize to the women of the country.
The state spokesperson of BJP said that the extent of anti-women thinking of Congress is clearly visible in the recent statement of Jeetu Patwari, in which he said that most of the women in Madhya Pradesh consume alcohol. This is not only a serious insult to the women of the state, but also reflects the narrow and distorted mentality of Congress. What is the thinking of Congress about women, only the Congress leaders themselves know. Whether it is former Congress leader Angika Dutta, Radhika Khera or Priyanka Chaturvedi, their experiences are in the public domain today. This thinking of Congress leaders is not new; earlier also many leaders like Digvijay Singh, Shivprakash Jaiswal and senior Rajasthan leader Shanti Dhariwal have made objectionable comments on women. Shanti Dhariwal’s statement that ‘rapes happen more in Rajasthan because it is a state of men’ is a clear example of this wrong thinking of Congress.
