Hamirpur, 8 September.
Himachal Pradesh BJP senior spokesperson and former Sujanpur MLA Rajendra Rana has launched a scathing attack on the state government, saying that “the Congress government has become a government that snatches away facilities, not a government that provides facilities and is snatching food from the mouths of employees.”
He said that the government has already stopped the salaries and allowances of the employees, stopped the arrears, and stopped the payment of medical bills, and now the benefit of a higher pay scale given to the employees by the previous BJP government has also been snatched away. Rana termed this as a direct robbery from the pockets of the employees.
In fact, the Finance Department issued a notification on Saturday and decided to end the facility given during the tenure of the former Jairam government, under which employees of 89 categories—who were appointed before January 3, 2022—were given higher pay scales on completion of two years of regular tenure. The department has directed all government departments to re-fix the salary of these employees.
Due to this decision, thousands of employees of the state will suffer a direct loss of more than Rs 15 thousand per month.
Rajendra Rana raised questions and said that when inflation is constantly increasing, instead of giving relief to the employees, the government is emptying their pockets. He said that this kind of injustice with the employees highlights the working style of the Congress government and the employees of the state will never tolerate this loot.
