Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has claimed that the Congress party is getting out of power in Punjab. He said that the decision to declare Charanjit Singh Channi as the CM’s face is an internal matter of the Congress party but it will not bring any benefit.
Jai Ram Thakur was interacting informally with the journalists here. He said that there is no need to say anything about Punjab now as the Congress party is not coming to power at least there.
The Chief Minister did not comment on the issue of granting third option in Himachal Pradesh due to the discrepancies revealed due to implementation of the new pay scale recommendations. He only said that it is not appropriate to talk to talk on this matter.It is noteworthy that on the lines of Punjab, 2 options have been given to the employees of the state to provide the benefit of the new pay scale. Earlier, time was given till February 2 to choose these options but later this period was extended till February 15. In such a situation, it is believed that the government can soon take a decision on choosing the third option of 15 percent increment only after detailed deliberations at the government level. At present, the employees have been given the first option of 2.25 and the second 2.59.
