Rajiv Rana, Member of the Himachal Pradesh State Backward Classes Commission, attended the grand event organized by the Lakhdata Dangal Committee at Dalalar in Gram Panchayat Badhani of the Bhoranji Assembly constituency. A large number of spectators and local residents were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Rana said that connecting rural youth with sports is the most urgent need today. He emphasized that sports not only promote physical development but also instill discipline, brotherhood, and positive thinking. He added that traditional events like dangals help preserve cultural heritage and provide a platform for youth to showcase their talent.
On the occasion, Rajiv Rana honored the winning wrestlers by presenting them with maces and encouraged all athletes, wishing them a bright future. He praised the efforts of the Lakhdata Dangal Committee, stating that such rural-level events play a crucial role in nurturing sports talent. He also appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and actively engage in sports and social service.
Prominent dignitaries present included Lance Naik Ashwani Thakur, Subedar Kashmir Singh, retired Prakash Chand, Malli Ratan Chand, Sunil Thakur, Satish Thakur, Rakesh Thakur, Pratap Chand, Lekh Raj, Surjeet, Bhumi Chand, and others.
