Shimla: Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal Pradesh government is continuing its zero-tolerance अभियान against drug abuse and strengthening public awareness efforts across the state.
During an awareness programme held today, officers and employees of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank took an oath to work towards building a drug-free society. The event was led by Bank Chairman Sanjay Singh Chauhan, who urged everyone to stay away from drugs and actively spread awareness among youth and customers.
Speakers highlighted that drug addiction—especially the dangerous substance “Chitta”—not only harms individuals but also threatens families and society. Bank directors Devendra Negi, Satish Kumar Bakseth, Ashwani Kumar, and Devi Singh Jishtu were also present. The programme concluded with a collective commitment to contribute wholeheartedly towards a drug-free Himachal Pradesh.
