Shimla, February 16, 2026:
The all-party meeting ahead of the Himachal Pradesh Budget Session concluded in a cordial and positive atmosphere, said Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania while addressing the media in Shimla.
The meeting, attended by representatives of the two political parties in the Assembly, focused on the Governor’s address and the proposed legislative agenda for the day. Speaker Pathania said both parties shared their views on the legislative business and emphasized the importance of cooperation for the smooth functioning of the House. He appealed to members to utilize the session productively by raising and debating issues of public interest.
He assured that adequate time would be provided to all members for meaningful discussions. The Speaker also stressed that while the opposition must responsibly question the government on public matters, it is equally the government’s duty to provide timely and factual responses.
