Hamirpur, July 19:
Former MLA Rajendra Rana, targeting the Congress government and Chief Minister Sukhu, has said that in Himachal Pradesh, corruption is being openly played in the guise of public welfare and development works and one by one all the examples are coming out in front of the public. In a statement issued here today, Rajendra Rana claimed that gross irregularities have come to light in the construction work done on the Palasi Made Bhagetu road in Hamirpur district, where soil was filled instead of cement in the safety walls built at the cost of crores of rupees.
Rajendra Rana said that it is not possible for such a big scam to happen without the knowledge of the departmental officers and ministers. He said that the entire system is drowned in corruption and the government’s protection is encouraging this loot.
Along with this, he also attacked the government’s insensitivity in the recent disaster of Mandi and said that the money of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund did not reach the real victims, but was distributed among favorite workers as a reward – just like it was done in the Nadaun area in the 2023 disaster. Rajendra Rana said that in Nadaun too, instead of giving relief amount to the real victims, this amount was distributed among its special workers and leaders.
Rana warned that the people of the state are fed up with the misrule of the Sukhu government and are anxious to get rid of this government soon. He said that the public, industrialists and social organizations are contributing generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, but this relief amount is not being delivered to the real victims.
