The 6 chief parliamentary secretaries appointment issues on Wednesday reached Himachal high court .A Public interest litigation was filed against the appointment of 6 CPS by the congress government in the hill state.
The petition filed by Delhi based lawyer Kalpana Devi has prayed for the immediate removal of all the CPS, citing the appointment illegal and contrary to the constitution. The petition further claimed these appointment will bear huge burden on the state exchequer.
Sukhivinder singh Sukhu led congress government in the state had appointed 6 MLAs as Chief parliamentary secretaries on January 8.
Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and senior BJP leader Sanjay Kumar said that the appointment of all six MLAs Ram Kumar Chaudhary (Doon), Sanjay Awasthy (Arki), Mohan Lal Brakta (Rohru), Sunder Singh Thakur (Kullu), Ashish Butail (Palampur), and Kishori Lal (Baijnath) should be immediately strike down .The matter is expected to come up for hearing in the coming week.
Sanjay kumar further mentioned that the appointment of 6 chief parliamentary secretaries (CPSs) as illegal and demanded that all these MLAs should be issued notice for occupying office of profit as CPS and after a speedy trial all of them should be disqualified from assembly.
