The public works minister did a surprise inspection of the hospital
Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Monday conducted a surprise inspection of the proposed Critical Care Unit site at the hospital premises in Sunni.
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the Critical Care Unit is proposed to be built by the Central Government with the help of PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. There will be a provision of 50 beds here. The building present here should be demolished only to the extent required. He instructed not to demolish the entire building. He instructed the officials of the Public Works Department to make changes in the drawing of the Critical Care Unit. Along with this, all the formalities will be completed as soon as possible and sent to the National Health Mission, only after that the work will be allotted.
He said that with the establishment of the Critical Care Unit, not only thousands of people of Sunni area will get health facilities, but people of the adjoining Mandi area will also benefit. The vacant posts here will also be filled soon. He also gave instructions to the Public Works Department to repair the residences of the hospital employees.
On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Yashpal Ranta, Block Medical Officer Mukesh Jaiswal and many dignitaries were present.
Critical Care Unit (CCU)
A critical care unit, also called an intensive care unit (ICU), is a specialized hospital ward where critically ill or injured patients are provided high-level medical care. In these units, patients are monitored 24 hours a day and are provided treatment using life-saving medical equipment such as ventilators, heart monitors, and other advanced equipment. A team of experienced doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other medical specialists care for patients in a critical care unit. Patients admitted to a CCU require more intensive and continuous care than general hospital patients.
Estimated cost of Critical Care Unit is Rs 18.83 crore
The total estimated cost of this project is around Rs 18.83 crore. Out of this, Rs 13.09 crore is the construction cost. Apart from this, other expenses will be spent on machinery and equipment. The critical care unit will be set up in a two-storey building. There will be 05 emergency beds, 02 beds of maternal and child health and 02 isolated rooms on the ground floor, while the first floor will have 02 dialysis beds and 24 isolated beds. On the second floor, there will be a high dispensary unit with 06 beds and 10 ICU beds.
Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation gave one lakh rupees to Rogi Kalyan Samiti
Cabinet Minister Vikramaditya Singh gave a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Sunni Hospital on behalf of Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation. He said that the aim of the foundation is to provide all possible help in the interest of the society and it is his priority to ensure uniform development in the state by following the footsteps of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh. Many facilities are being provided to the people through the Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
