Dr. Sanjay Madan from C-DAC Mohali delivers informative session on cyber threats and career opportunities
Baddi: Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology organized a guest lecture on “Cyber Security” on December 16, 2025, at the SEET Seminar Hall for students of the university.
The session was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Madan, Scientist and Joint Director at C-DAC Mohali, who holds a PhD in Computer Science and possesses extensive expertise in artificial intelligence and cyber security.
During the lecture, Dr. Madan explained various aspects of cyber security, including common cyber threats, malware attacks, data breaches, online frauds, and the importance of practicing safe internet habits. He highlighted the growing need for cyber awareness in today’s digital world and stressed the importance of protecting personal and organizational data.
He also introduced students to the concept of ethical hacking and discussed emerging career opportunities in the field of cyber security, encouraging students to develop technical skills and awareness to safeguard digital systems.
The lecture proved to be highly informative and interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and gaining practical knowledge about online safety and cyber protection.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Narinder Kaur and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Dr. Arun Kant Painoli, Dean of the School of Management Studies.
