On the occasion of National Anti-Terrorism Day, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap administered the oath to the employees at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday.
The deputy commissioner said that we Indians firmly believe in the tradition of non-violence and tolerance. Along with this, we sincerely take an oath to strongly oppose all forms of terrorism and violence. During this, everyone also took an oath to establish peace, social harmony and understanding among all sections of humanity and to fight against disruptive forces that threaten human life values.
It is noteworthy that on 21 May 1991, former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by terrorists in Tamil Nadu. In his memory, 21 May is celebrated as National Anti-Terrorism Day across the country and an oath is taken to strongly oppose terrorism and violence.
