DC established direct communication with field officers and reviewed the development works
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap today reviewed various development works going on in Gram Panchayat Taklech of Rampur subdivision through video conferencing. During this, he established direct communication with the local field officers and obtained information about the ground situation.
Sub-divisional Magistrate Rampur, Tehsildar Taklech, Naib Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, Panchayat Pradhan, Village Revenue Officer and Panchayat Secretary along with other officers remained connected through video conference.
The Deputy Commissioner said that development work cannot be imagined without the activeness and responsibility of the field officers. He instructed the officers to maintain a complete record of all the work being done at the Panchayat level and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible person.
He inquired from the Panchayat Secretary about the progress of MNREGA, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, renovation of stepwells and other development works being carried out under the Panchayat. At the same time, the damages caused during the disaster, repair works, jamabandi and revenue related matters were discussed with the village revenue officer. Apart from this, he also instructed the Patwari to immediately submit a report on the damages caused by the rain in the area every day.
The Deputy Commissioner took detailed information from the Panchayat Pradhan on the development works going on in the Panchayat area, pending projects, damages caused by rain and local problems. He enquired about the status of revenue and other development activities from the Tehsildar Taklech.
The Deputy Commissioner said that if an officer or employee does not have basic knowledge of his area, then the common citizens have to bear the brunt of it. He said that every employee should be aware of his responsibilities, so that effective implementation of the schemes can be ensured.
He said that Taklech area is a disaster prone area, hence all the officers should be extra cautious. Field officers and employees should have every information about their area, only then the welfare and overall development of every section of the society can be ensured.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the need for the officers to work in mutual coordination and said that if all the employees perform their duties promptly, then the general public will definitely benefit from it.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana, District Revenue Officer Sanjeet Sharma along with other officers and employees were also present.
