The body of a 24-year-old youth found near the cemetery in the Sanjauli area of the capital Shimla has created a sensation in the area. The deceased has been identified as Sahil, who was a resident of Baldwara in Mandi district. The police have registered a case and started the investigation process.
According to the information, on Friday morning, the Dhali police station received information that a young man was lying unconscious near the cemetery. Immediately after receiving the information, the police team reached the spot, and the youth was immediately taken to IGMC Shimla. On reaching the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
The police have also found alcohol and other intoxicants from the spot, but it is not clear whether the youth was intoxicated or not. SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that the police are waiting for the post-mortem report so that the real cause of the youth’s death can be known.
The police have informed the relatives of the deceased, and further action will be taken after the family members come to the spot. SP Sanjeev Gandhi said, “The police received information that a boy was lying unconscious near the cemetery. Our team acted swiftly and tried to save the youth by taking him to the hospital, but he was declared dead. The result of the post-mortem report will have to be awaited.”
