Shoolini university’s Literature club, Lit-Witz in collaboration with Shades of Love, organised a declamation contest on right of LGBTQ+ community under the title : Unlabelled : My idea of identity.
The declamation event was inaugurated by Head of English Department, Prof Manju Jaidka. She praised the efforts of the students and thanked the organisers to bring such sensitive topic in the mainstream discussion. She also emphasised the importance of being inclusive and use the platform in the university to be vocal about such issues.
The declamation was open for all and first prize was won by Anvit Thakur and second prize was given to Taba Mayo Nikki. Other dignitaries present in the event were Dr Saurabh Kulshrestha, Dr Purnima Bali, Dr Hemant and other faculty members. Ayushi Singh, Club head of Litwitz moderated the event.
