Review meeting held on revenue matters under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner
A district level special review meeting was organized at Bachat Bhawan on Monday with the revenue officials under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap regarding the pending revenue matters in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap directed in the meeting that officers and field staff should work towards settling the revenue cases in the shortest possible time. The priority of the state government is to settle long pending revenue matters. In such a situation, the challenges being faced in resolving revenue related complaints in the field should be resolved immediately. In the meeting, the status of cases pending for the last two years and those pending before two years were discussed separately. All the Tehsildars also kept information on the status quo regarding the matters in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the revenue cases arising in the last two years should be dealt with strictly. He gave strict instructions to the officers that action will be taken against the officers and employees who delay in settling the cases.
He said that all the sub-divisional magistrates of the district were instructed to expedite the disposal of revenue cases at their own level. He said that status report will be taken every week through district level video conferencing regarding the disposal of cases pending for the last two years.
He said that the verification of the affected people to whom funds have been released under the Special Disaster Assistance Package, should be completed immediately. Under the Swamitva scheme, drone flying has been done in 1760 villages, while the work is still pending in 273 villages.
He said that district level welfare fund has been prepared. Try to cooperate in that also at your own level. He said that under The School Adoption Programme, officials should continuously check their respective schools. Along with this, speed up development works in their jurisdiction.
*Order to issue notice*
The Deputy Commissioner has ordered to issue show cause notices to the Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars who were found absent during the meeting. All the absent officers will report to the Deputy Commissioner’s office on 6 November 2024.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Shimla Abhishek Verma, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Ajit Bhardwaj, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana, Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma, District Revenue Officer Sanjit Sharma, all the Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other officials of the Revenue Department were also present in the meeting.
