Heard the problems of disaster-affected families in the villages of Gram Panchayat Baat and Sara.

Deputy Commissioner Chamba Mukesh Repaswal today visited the disaster-affected areas of Gram Panchayat Baat in the Mahla development block to assess the current situation. He directly interacted with the affected families in the villages of Gram Panchayat Baat and Sara and listened to their problems.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the affected families that the administration would provide all possible assistance. He directed the SDM Chamba and the Block Development Officer, Mahla, to conduct a quick survey of the affected families and submit an assessment of the actual losses soon. He also directed the concerned departmental officials to take necessary steps to resolve the problems immediately.
During the inspection, he also inspected the Government Senior Secondary School and Primary School in village Bat, which were damaged due to the disaster. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to quickly complete the damage assessment and submit a detailed report so that reconstruction and repair work can begin in a timely manner. He also urged that alternative arrangements be immediately made to ensure that students’ education is not disrupted.
On this occasion, SDM Chamba Priyanshu Khati, Block Development Officer Bashir Khan, District Council Member Manoj Kumar, Principal Government Senior Secondary School Bat along with officers and employees of various departments were present.
