The monsoon is raining like a disaster in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Due to heavy rains, life has been badly affected. In the latest development, the Chamba-Tisa main road has been closed due to flash floods near Kandla drain. Due to this, the traffic on this route has come to a complete standstill, and people are facing a lot of trouble.
It is being said that due to continuous rain, the water level of Kandla drain suddenly increased a lot, causing floods in the drain. Along with this flood, a large amount of debris and stones also came on the road, due to which the road has been completely blocked. Due to the closure of the road, the connection of Tisa Valley with the district headquarters, Chamba, has been cut off.
The local administration has taken immediate action and sent machinery to the spot to remove the debris from the road. However, due to continuous rain and the fast flow of water in the drain, there are difficulties in opening the road. Travelers have been advised to use alternative routes or postpone the journey till the route opens. The administration has appealed to the people to avoid unnecessary travel in such weather and stay safe.
