About Rs 28 crore approved for various development works in Arki assembly constituency
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that only discipline, hard work and dedication can make the youth successful and responsible citizens of the future. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony organized at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School located at Darlaghat in Arki assembly constituency of Solan district today.
Earlier, Sanjay Awasthi laid the foundation stone of sub treasury office and residential complex in Darlaghat. Its construction will cost approximately Rs 2.23 crore.
He said that the aim of education is not only to get good marks, but through education we move towards success by incorporating the acquired knowledge in our daily routine. Students should set their goals and remain active to achieve them with hard work and determination. He said that never take shortcuts in life but move forward by making hard work your charioteer.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that in the present times the nature of education has changed and it is necessary to keep pace with this changing nature to meet the needs of the future. To achieve this objective, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken a historic decision to open Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in every assembly constituency of the state. Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School will provide modern education as well as better infrastructure facilities to the students. He said that Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School would be established in Jalana area of Arki assembly constituency at a cost of about Rs 20 crore.
Sanjay Awasthi urged the students to always stay away from drugs and focus on their physical and mental development.
He also honored the students who excelled in various categories.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that planned work is being done for all-round development of Arki assembly constituency. An amount of about Rs 07.15 crore has been sanctioned from NABARD for the repair of dilapidated pipes for water and irrigation facilities in the assembly constituency. He said that repairing the pipes in the entire area will help in solving the problem of drinking water.
Sanjay Awasthi said that about Rs 15 crore has been sanctioned for the building of Government College, Dadla, Rs 20 lakh for the construction of additional rooms of Government Senior Secondary School, Dadla and Rs 18 lakh has been sanctioned for the repair of the residential building of the Veterinary Hospital. He said that an amount of Rs 1.86 crore would be sanctioned for the Syar-Javi-Chhamla road, Rs 2.11 crore for the Kotla-Numhala-Shivnagar road, Rs 82.7 lakh for the U link road and Rs 61.07 lakh for the link road up to Changar village. Sanjay Awasthi announced to give Rs 21 thousand from his voluntary fund to the school management and Rs 2100 to the students presenting cultural programs. He S.V.M. Also announced to give Rs 02 lakh for the construction work of toilet in Darlaghat.
On this occasion, he listened to the local problems and instructed the officials to resolve them properly.
