The document verification for the Himachal Police Constable Recruitment has been temporarily delayed due to the region’s severe rainfall, landslides, cloudbursts, and road closures. The Police Department has informed us that the applicants are unable to arrive at the document verification site on the designated dates because of the severe rains and road restrictions.
Originally scheduled to begin on September 4, this procedure will now begin on September 24 and run through September 29. The agency has made it clear that the applicants’ and staff’ safety was taken into consideration when making this choice. Additionally, it has been made sure that no applicant will be denied the opportunity to verify their documents because of road and transportation infrastructure issues brought on by natural disasters. The department has modified the document verification dates in such a case.
Information from the Police Department: On September 24, candidates from the North Zone Kangra district will have their documents verified; on September 25, candidates from the Chamba and Una districts will have their documents verified at Police Line Bharari Shimla. Similarly, under the Central Zone, applicants from the Mandi district will have their documents verified on September 26. applicants from the Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kullu, and Lahaul-Spiti districts will have their documents verified at Police Line Bharari Shimla on September 27.
Apart from this, document verification of candidates of Shimla, Solan under South Range will be done on 28th September and document verification of candidates of Kinnaur and Sirmaur will be done on 29th September at Police Line Bharari Shimla. The result of the screening test was declared on 2 August
The Public Service Commission had declared the result of the screening test conducted for recruitment to 1088 posts of police constable for specialized duty in the police department on 2 August and a total of 1964 candidates have qualified in it. 1343 candidates have been shortlisted on the basis of written examination for 708 posts of male constable. Apart from this, 621 candidates have been shortlisted on the basis of this examination for 380 posts of female constable. Now the candidates shortlisted on the basis of written examination have been called for document verification.
