The Vice Chancellor said that the Technical University administration is serious about filling the posts of regular professors.
Hamirpur. The process for regular appointments of professors at Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, will be completed soon. The university has accepted applications to fill 32 professor positions and one TPO position, for which approximately 1,600 candidates have applied. The document verification process for the applicants will be completed soon. Professor Rajendra Verma, Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University, stated that filling professor positions on a regular basis is a priority for the state government. He added that the university administration is also committed to filling regular professor positions. The above positions are proposed to be filled for ongoing courses at the university, for which the application process has been completed. The document verification of applicants will soon be completed through various committees, after which the interview process for eligible candidates will begin. The Vice Chancellor stated that the land acquisition process for the expansion of the university campus is progressing rapidly. The process of tree counting is currently underway on approximately 18 hectares of land identified by the district administration in Daduhi and Vikasnagar villages adjacent to the Technical University. Soon after the tree counting work is completed, the proposal for the land will be sent to the Central Government for approval. Immediately after receiving approval from there, the process of construction of other buildings of the Technical University will be started. The Vice Chancellor said that continuous efforts are being made to provide facilities to the students in the university campus.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Technical University stated that to ensure students’ studies are not disrupted mid-semester, three guest faculty positions in the Computer Science and Engineering and MBA departments are being filled through guest faculty recruitment. Interviews for these positions were held on Monday. Eligible candidates will soon be appointed as guest faculty, ensuring smooth academic progress.
