Himachal Pradesh’s wildlife photographer Dr. Prakash Badal has been awarded the vocational award by Rotary Club Aastha Amritsar for his contribution in wildlife photography and wildlife conservation. This honor was given to him on June 25 at the annual chartered anniversary function of Rotary Club at Ranjit Avenue Amritsar. Rotary Club Aastha Amritsar selected four people for the award for the year 2025, among which Dr. Prakash Badal’s name was also included. Apart from Prakash Badal, the names of Principal of Khalsa College of Amritsar Dr. Surinder Kaur, Sanam Sutirth Wazir of Jammu and Kashmir, Amritsar’s advocate and tax expert Advocate Lavanya Bahl are included in these awards. Dr. Badal was given this honor by DGND Vijay Sahdev and DGN Anil Singhal. Before the award, a citation was read out by Dr. Ruman Beri to highlight Badal’s bird photographs and his contribution to wildlife conservation. Prakash Badal’s contribution was highlighted and was appreciated with thunderous applause. Dr. Prakash Badal has made his mark globally through his photography and his photographs have made their mark not only in India but also in foreign media. Dr. Prakash Badal, a resident of Jubbal in Himachal Pradesh, is currently working in the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department and has been honoured at national and international forums before.
