Shimla, March 19
Dr Shivani Kapret, Associate Professor at Excellence College Sanjauli, has been honoured with the Outstanding Women Scientist Award 2026 for her significant contribution to research in nanotechnology.
The award was conferred at an international conference jointly organised by ICFRE-HFRI, Shimla, Medicinal Plant Board (RRS), Himachal Pradesh, and ISAHRD Society, New Delhi.
Dr Kapret received the recognition for her research on honey-based silver nanoparticles, which have promising applications in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Her work is considered a step forward in developing innovative and effective therapeutic solutions.
She has published 11 research papers in reputed national and international journals and also holds one patent in the same field.
Her achievement has brought pride to the institution as well as to the state.
