SHIMLA:
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Himachal Pradesh at 4:36 am on Saturday, with its epicentre located around 40 kilometres east-northeast of Shimla.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres. The Narkanda-Kumarsain region was also mentioned in connection with the tremors.
Official confirmation is awaited regarding the areas where the tremors were felt across Shimla and nearby regions. Authorities have yet to confirm whether the earthquake caused any damage to property or injuries.
