Public Works Minister attended the annual prize distribution function organized by Dayanand Public School at Gaiety Theatre
Meritorious students were honored with prizes.
Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that education is essential for personality development and betterment of the society, which promotes knowledge, skills and values.
He was addressing the children and parents after attending the annual prize distribution function organised by Dayanand Public School at Gaiety Theatre Shimla today as the chief guest.
Congratulating and wishing a bright future to the meritorious students who stood first in various activities throughout the year, he said that education is the basis of economic and social progress, which keeps children away from drugs and develops the ability to take right decisions for their future and face challenges. He said that the state government is trying to eliminate the difference between government and private schools by amending the rules to bring quality in education so that children can make their future bright by getting good education.

Urges children to stay away from drugs and move forward with positive thinking
The Cabinet Minister stated that Dayanand Public School, along with other schools in the city, is considered one of the leading schools in the field of education. Therefore, in this competitive era, Dayanand Public School is making meaningful efforts to ensure that every child has a good education and solid knowledge to achieve their goals in life, for which the school deserves praise. He added that every child will always remember the time spent in school, college, and university. He urged children to stay away from drugs, move forward with a positive mindset, and achieve their life goals.
He said that former Chief Minister, the late Raja Virbhadra Singh, had attended events at Dayanand Public School in the past, blessing the children and addressing the school management’s demands. He added that he had been invited by the school management to attend events at Dayanand Public School. He stated that he wholeheartedly stands with the school management and will strive to fulfill all the demands made by the management.

Cabinet Minister gave Rs 31,000 to students for cultural presentations
On this occasion, the school’s students also presented colorful cultural performances. The Public Works Minister also announced a reward of 31,000 rupees to the children who presented the cultural program.
